New Improved Meerkat

Here is a new picture of my meerkat. I have worked on the model from my previous post, which can be seen in the animation and kenetics post.

Hair and Fur Tests

I wanted to learn about the hair and fur modifier intergrated within 3ds max. So I had a play around with the settings on a model I created based on myself.
On the top example, I was experimenting to find the correct hairstyle for my model. The bottom example is my final hairstyle, which includes the texture for my model. Enjoy.

X-Wing

Being a big fan of Star Wars - I had to do it, I had to create the x-wing.
It was a personal project out of university hours. I plan to texture the finished model, so keep a look out for the finished piece and maybe some more Star Wars models.

Cotton Pirate Animations

Below are a series of short videos which I created for my cotton pirate. I have listed each of the videos below to show you the animation which is taking place in each.

This is a 360° view of my model.

This is the start of my first shoot, the episode 'Curious'.

This is my walk cycle for the character.

This is my run cycle for the character.

Here is a short trip/fall animation.

Cotton Pirate

Here are some images of a little character I designed after gaining inspiration from the PS3 game Little Big Planet. The idea for this little character is for him to have a series of short animations where each one defines a word. The first animation is called 'Curious', the second will be 'Overboard' and it will follow on to create the word Cotton Pirate.
It is something which will appeal to a younger audience, teaching them about certain words through the art of animation.

Virtual Enviroments

These are a series of images I created to support an essay I did which included the discussion on cloning. I gained the inspiration for this piece from the latest Resident Evil movie. The scene is at the end when there is a camera shot of a container which is filled with cloning pods.

Logo

I created this logo for a project whilst studying for my HND Multimedia. The project, Self Promotion, was to create an identity for yourself which would establish you and get you noticed in the industry. My interests are films, games and 3d. Therefore, I came up with the name 3d Instinct.

Terragen Enviroments

Here are four pictures of landscapes which I created using the program Terragen.

Cowboy and Town

Here are a couple of models I created in 3d for my HND Multimedia. They were initially developed to be part of an A2 piece which was to be displayed in a final show for the University. They were also used as a section in my final design to display my 3d skills.

Intermediate Studio Part 2 Animation

Following on from the book I made earlier on in the project, the second part was to develop an animation to run alongside the book and relate to it.
For my animation I decided to take one of the stencils used for my grafitti and show it being sprayed onto the side of a box. From this the grafitti would them morph out into a 3d element, as though it was coming to life.
This is the outcome, minus the effects i.e. paw prints, paintdrips and splats.
